Today STEELFAB has the largest volume capacity in Alaska. It is the largest locally owned steel service center and fabricator in the state. STEELFAB’s capacities include:

• Being the only active American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certified tank fabricator in Alaska. It actively maintains ASME (U), (PP) stamps, plus a (R) stamp from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.
• Regular recertification by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) for the fabrication of conventional steel structures, complex steel building structures, simple steel bridges, major steel bridges with fracture critical endorsement and sophisticated paint endorsement-enclosed categories as set forth in the AISC Certification program.
• A certification of Authorizations from the Underwriters Laboratory.
• Welding qualifications from the American Welding Society (AWS).
